Spent the entire day between both stretches. Ran into Anthony at Asbury and swapped stories and flies in the a.m. struggled a bit in the morning coming tight, lots of fish on just couldn’t keep em pinned! Got even with them in the afternoon on the Warren Glen stretch under the watch of a very Bold, Bald Eagle who stuck with me for a good 20 minutes. Ended up putting a real nice catch together with some beautiful, colored up fish! Catch em up Fellas.
Nice. It continued to be slow Sat am at Farmhouse, John. I got a couple from the riffle after you went up, then had to leave by 10:00 for chores. Swinging tandem, BHPtail on the dropper, Hdrkson emerger on point. Saw a couple of rises, some caddis egg layers on the suface. Glad you found ’em.
I watched that eagle take one of our nice rainbows last year, not 30 yards from me. Very cool to see, but also had mixed emotions on him poaching “our” water. He probably felt the same about me.
