Well had a great night fishing with member Andrew Laffey last night. We fished the Asbury stretch for a short time and had some success. Decided to head back this morning, but only managed a couple, decided to give Warren Glen a shot and it was game on! Switched up from a nymph combo to a Rootbeer Retriever and had an immediate hit, hard hit and run…… figuring it to be a good trout took my time only to realize it was a 18” Striper! Got to say that’s a first for me on the Musky. Great day of fishing as always, see everyone Saturday for the Healing Waters

You had me on that one; I was sure we were going to see “shad” in your post. First Striper I’ve heard of caught that far up the Musky. Haven’t been in for a couple of weeks with the levels so high and a full work schedule, glad you guys could hit it. Need more reports…..where is everybody??????

We found a 20” shad dead in the silt behind the farmhouse!

    Andrew:
Do you mean “the farmhouse” in Asbury? The gorge and Bloomsbury dams are still up and insurmountable barriers for upstream migration, so either somebody is pulling our leg, or I’m thinking of the wrong “farmhouse”….
