Well, some seriously shitty weather is all I can say. Blow out rains weekly, colder then normal temps and not much opportunity to wet a line. Looks like that pattern is beginning to change, finally! Stocking began on 5/9 not that there was any shortage of fish. I believe we put a 140 total in the Asbury waters and 160 in the Warren Glen stretch. A couple of beautiful looking Tigers were in the mix too. Couple evening outings this week produced mixed results, Thursday night was excellent for hooking fish with a tandem nymph rig but keeping them buttoned was another story. Friday was a different game with only landing 3 all in the fast water runs. Not much surface activity though I saw small BWO and some Caddis in the evening. Here in Somerset County we’ve already witnessed some Sulphurs let’s hope they appear in numbers soon! Looks like someone cut the grass down in Asbury from the parking area all the way down to the Blue Chair, not sure who that was but much appreciated. Let’s try to keep the information rolling here🎣 Hope to see you Gentleman and Ladies on the water soon.
