Hey John:
My experience on the Musky in high water has definitely been better with an olive wholly bugger or a Pats rubber legs in deeper stretches. If the flow is over 300cfs, best bet is no weight, cut your leader back to about 6′ and do some yard work. Then you’ll be ready to go when it drops back to <250 range. Right now on a Saturday morning in April I think your best bet is try the South Branch. It’s high and cold but fish able. Just prepare for the crowds.
I think we’re still getting some extra flow from Hopatcong. I may try tomorrow if the flow drops some.
