“Richard” would be Richard/Richie Cotton, who owns much of the Hunterdon County side of the river. He is also principal investor in the “Lodge at River Valley,” which grants access to members from the Hunterdon side from just below the Asbury dam down to the Farmhouse on our side. So however worrisome, these guys weren’t poaching. Probably they weren’t members but were, as they suggested, friends of Cotton, who has been a club nemesis for years.
