Got out early Labor day morning. Impending weather had me watching the radar for severe weather but as the front crossed from Pa. it turned to steady, heavy rain with no lightning or boomers! Found good fishing all morning in the faster water Euro nymphing some heavy tungsten jig fly’s with the PT producing most of the strikes. Finished up with a quite a few Browns, one being wild in the 9″ class but displaying some nice red on the tail, adipose, and anal fins. Mixed in were a few fat and feisty Rainbows. Stayed dry with a good quality rain jacket and really enjoyed the morning! Decided to take a ride over to the Warren Glen stretch but did more scouting then fishing. I’m not real familiar with that stretch and need to figure out how to approach the better runs in low water. On a side note I did come across a lot of Spotted Lantern Fly’s which I believe most know are invasive and a real problem in Pa. I’ve been told to kill as many as I see. Lots of fish in the water so get out there and catch em up……………
