With the falling temps decided to give Asbury a go yesterday. Arrived at daybreak to 3 young Bucks grazing just outside the standing corn in the parking area. Didn’t expect to see much surface activity so loaded up with a tandem nymph rig accompanied by a small airlock indicator. Started off at the ‘Blue chair’ just a heads up there’s a blowdown half way across the stream from the opposite side property. Fished fairly hard with only one slight hesitation of my indicator. Decided to replace the indicator with a size 10 Stimulator kind of a Hopper/Dropper setup. Rick Alampi had mentioned to me a while back he finds the indicators to spook fish on occasion, well his advice was spot on…… Thanks Rick! I proceeded to watch fish slash at the top presentation only to drop back an grab the Nymph. Ended up 5 for 8 in just a short time. Air temp started climbing so called it a morning on a high note! Great morning to be on the water. Tight lines fellas
